Genscape, Inc.

Formed in 1999 Genscape Inc. is the originator of real-time power supply information to support decision-making for energy traders, power plant and line owners and operators, regulators, and other energy market participants. Genscape's Operations department currently has an opening for a Field Technician. The Field technician will work directly with our Logistics Manager and Director to support our nationwide network build-out and maintenance of EMF monitors.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibilities of the position include installing monitors near electric generating plants and conducting maintenance on previously installed monitors in the network. Specific duties include verification and documentation of transmission line location and layout, locating acceptable monitor sites, establishing relationships with landowners, monitor installation, and diagnostics and unit maintenance. The position requires extensive travel throughout the entire US.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Field monitor installation and maintenance

• Technical Troubleshooting

• Communicating and negotiating easement agreements with private landowners

• Extensive travel throughout the U.S.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree

• Valid driver's license with good driving record

• Motivated, conscientious, highly organized, comfortable performing within deadlines, and able to communicate effectively

• Self-starter who is capable of working independently, and comfortable teaming up to work closely with other Logistics team members

• Considerable travel and outdoor work

• Professional in appearance, able to "sell Genscape" to potential access providers

• Preference will be given to candidates with bi-lingual skills

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in on-site negotiating

• Effective communication of technical information with locally and remotely located personnel
