Report Description

Genscape understands the need to bring deeper insights and better information to all participants across the power markets.

Whilst the needs for market knowledge, plant operation patterns, data for analysis and trading are common, not everyone needs a real-time solution like Genscape Power Europe.
For this reason, Genscape’s Daily Power Reports provide daily market snapshots, in a highly cost-effective and flexible package.

Hour 12 Report and Weekend Report

The Genscape Hour 12 Reports are emailed to subscribers in PDF format and are available for Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic and Italy. Every day you receive Genscape’s unique information on individual plant output and cross-border flows for the average of the hour ending 12:00. The report also includes capacity utilizations, power output by fuel type, aggregate power output and net border flows for the previous 24 hours.

On Monday mornings the subscribers receive the Weekend Report which provides the hour 12 data for Saturday and Sunday as well as the capacity utilizations, power output by fuel type, aggregate power output and net border flows for the weekend.

The wide coverage of the generation installations, the inclusion of physical flows between the countries and our consistent time of measurement, provides subscribers with deeper insight into the state of the electricity system.

Option: Hourly Data Files

In addition to the daily Hour 12 Reports for Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic and Italy, subscribers can download hourly CSV data files from our html data download site. These files provide you with greater flexibility to use Genscape’s data in your own data systems.

As well as the hour 12 data, subscribers can select to download additional hourly data points for their chosen countries.

Data and Delivery

The fuel summary chart as well as the aggregated output figures represent the output at plants monitored by Genscape and provided on a plant by plant basis in the report.
The net border flow is the net amount of all cross-border transmission points monitored by Genscape, the lines monitored are mentioned on each report.
Hour 12, as well as all other times mentioned, refers to prevailing local time, i.e. CET and CEST during the applicable periods.
The hour 12 Reports are published daily Monday-Friday + a Saturday-Sunday weekend report is available every Monday.
CSV data files are available 7 days per week.
Data files are available 4 hours after the selected hour.
