Not enough information in the morning Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) status report? Genscape understands deeper insight and better information translates into more informed trading decisions and a competitive edge. The Genscape regional reports take preparing for the trading day one large step beyond the NRC. The Genscape morning reports provide a snapshot by fuel and by plant of the operational status of coal, oil, gas, nuclear and hydro plants during the hour ended 7 am in the region. Also, the reports show flows along the major transmission lines monitored by Genscape. The wider coverage of the generation fleet beyond nuclear plants and our consistent time of measurement, provides traders with deeper insight into the state of the electricity system timed to coincide with the start of the trading day. The Genscape morning reports currently cover the PJM Control Area and the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC). Other regions will be added in the near future. Explanation of Data The fuel summary chart shows output at plants monitored by Genscape. For WECC, the transmission table shows average net flows at lines monitored by Genscape during hour ending 3 am Pacific prevailing time. The plant table shows capacity utilization for the hour ending 5 am Pacific prevailing time. For PJM, the transmission table shows average net flows at lines monitored by Genscape during hour ending 6 am eastern prevailing time. The plant table shows capacity utilization for the hour ending 7 am Eastern prevailing time.
