Deirdre Alphenaar joined Genscape in 2002 and is responsible for product innovation of existing and emerging products. Deirdre manages a team of research and development experts delivering new measurement techniques and analytical methods for the continued expansion of Genscape’s proprietary data offerings to the Power, Oil, Petrochemical, Natural Gas and Coal markets. Previously, she worked as the Director of Information Technology for Telemics, Inc., a Louisville based wireless telemetry company. Before moving to the United States in 2000, she completed two years of post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge, England, following a Ph.D. in Physics (University of Surrey), and a Masters in Medical Radiation Physics (Charing Cross Medical School/Brunel University). Deirdre has authored over 15 scientific publications in oncology, medical imaging and polymer physics. Deirdre manages the Genscape patent portfolio, and currently holds four US patents.
