DESCRIPTION:
The Product Development Analyst will be responsible for the implementation of EnvaPower's product development effort and model improvement program. EnvaPower's analytical models incorporate thousands of data parameters and detailed market information to fundamentally model market pricing based on key market drivers.
The Product Development Analyst will be responsible for developing new regional models for either the electricity (power) or natural gas markets. The Sr. Product Development Analyst will also be responsible for upgrading existing models with new features and more efficient programming.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate should have an advanced degree in engineering with emphasis on optimization and modeling of complex power or natural gas systems. A Ph.D. degree is a desired for Sr. Product Development Analyst.

The candidate should know the structure of the power industry and its operation, especially the wholesale market operations of the ISOs in the USA including the definition and calculation of unit commitment and dispatch, power flow, LMP and other related knowledge of the energy market.

The candidate should also be familiar with fundamental engineering-based modeling techniques and have extensive experience in applying these techniques to complex model development.

The candidate should have knowledge in the use of Excel, VBA and C/C++/C#. The knowledge of database development is also desired.

The candidate should have strong communication skills and should be willing to play different roles in the team.
Position and compensation is commensurate with knowledge and experience in the natural gas industry.
