DESCRIPTION:

The PJM Trading Analyst will provide fundamental analysis of PJM market drivers used to support proprietary analytical models and tools that generate daily market intelligence reports for distribution to the customer base. The PJM Analyst will also be responsible for communicating the results directly to traders & asset managers transacting within the PJM short-term market.

Priority is given to candidates with the following characteristics: well-spoken, motivated, self-starters with analytic focus who enjoy a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years experience working within the PJM Market and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience talking to traders (ie, former traders/brokers) and/or candidates with experience in power flow modeling and congestion analysis. However, a variety of candidates with PJM experience will be considered, including, but not limited to the following: former PJM traders, brokers, dispatchers, fundamental analysts, transmission analysts, trade support analysts, production coordinators.

• An understanding and knowledge with the operating characteristics of generating assets in PJM.

Position and compensation is commensurate with knowledge and experience in the natural gas industry.
