Genscape operates a remote monitoring network that collects data from electric transmission lines, gas pipelines as well as water temperatures. The company has its European Headquarters in Amsterdam, where the network of monitors is managed and quality is assured. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for the data quality of the information services. Key aspects are research and data analysis for new regions and products as well as testing monitoring and analysis of data collections / processing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ongoing monitoring of the data collection. Providing internal technical analyses and support to the client services group

• Daily maintenance of the existing network settings to ensure continued improvements in accuracy of estimates

• Quality benchmarking for data sets

• User-acceptance testing for the internal tools and software as well as customer facing software

• Identification, documentation and tracking of the resolution of monitor hardware problems and quality issues

• Web-based research to identify and gather critical data and information sets

• Communication with field engineers during monitor setup process

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, science or economics discipline

• Training or experience in Data Analysis, Quality or related discipline

• Experienced user level with Microsoft Excel, general database familiarity

• Working knowledge of basic statistics and error analysis

• Effective communication of technical information to colleagues

• Data and web research skills

• PC user with MS Office experience

• Persistent attention to detail

• Good teamwork skills essential

• Effective working level in English, written and spoken

PREFERENCES:

• Knowledge of SQL, Aqua Data Studio, Toad, or Tora

• Experience in engineering or science

• Insights into energy transport operations

• Other European languages

• Curious personality, interested in a fast growing company in the energy sector
