Genscape, Inc., the nation's first and only supplier of real-time
power generation information, is seeking a Senior Sales Representative.
Genscape has developed new technology for monitoring and reporting
on the operations of natural gas transportation and storage systems,
and is beginning an international launch of a natural gas information
service designed to meet the needs of the energy trading markets.
Genscape is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to provide sales
and marketing of the Genscape suite of products, including sales to
North American Natural Gas Trading Organizations, Electricity and
Power Trading groups, and other energy commodities trading organizations.
Essential Functions
- Provide Genscape with a sales and marketing plan for the North
American Power & Gas Markets for their region with emphasis
on; the market in general, the targeted prospective accounts to
pursue, and the plan to acquire those accounts as clients in a defined
time period.
- Detailed reports on prospective customer contacts, meetings, and
pipelines will be required. Updates frequently. Sales forecasts
will be due on a frequent basis and sales targets are expected to
be met and exceeded. Weekly pipeline calls are expected.
- As our business grows and our sales’ needs increase, the
person may be responsible for acquiring additional sales personnel
to expand our presence and will take more of a managerial role.
- As a Sales Leader, we will be relying on this individual to provide
us with insight into the market in general with emphasis on new
product development, market opportunities, and all assorted marketing
engagements.
- Locations to be considered: New York Metropolitan Area, Northeast,
Louisville, Houston, Chicago, and the West Coast.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of sales experience with history of selling large ticket
market data or analytics products to the North American Natural
Gas & Power Trading Market.
- History of above quota sales achievements specifically over the
past three years.
- Detailed 'Rolodex' of contacts at prospective market clients
- The U.S. Trading/Marketing and Natural Gas Trading Markets.
- Detailed expert knowledge of the Power and primarily Natural
Gas real time markets.
- Desire to work for a small, growing, entrepreneurial organization.
- Ability to work from a remote office/home office location if
need be.
- Willingness to travel.
