The information is also used by asset managers to assist them price their assets into the daily energy markets.

DESCRIPTION:
The Staff/Senior - Power Market Trading Analyst (PMTA) will be responsible for providing regional power market intelligence to EnvaPower's clients under the direction of the Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. The PMTA will assess market conditions using proprietary analytical models and tools in order to develop a daily market intelligence report for distribution to the customer base. EnvaPower's proprietary analytical models incorporate thousands of data parameters and detailed market information to accurately predict market pricing based on key market drivers.
The PMTA will also be responsible for communicating the results directly with the customers from EnvaPower's Operations Center, and for conducting special "case studies" upon request by the Clients.
Priority is given to candidates with the following characteristics: motivated, self-starters with analytic focus.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong knowledge of, and experience with supply/demand power market fundamentals, drivers and bidding strategies

Modeling expertise, including experience with the use of modeling tools and with the use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets

Expertise with Northeast regional ISO systems (New England, New York and/or PJM) operations and procedures

An understanding and knowledge of OASIS and the NPCC transmission system

An understanding and knowledge with the operating characteristics of generating assets in the Northeast.
Position and compensation is commensurate with knowledge and experience in the natural gas industry.
