Power North America  Overnight Update  Frequency Event Power North America >> log in Genscape Power North America is web-based interactive map representing estimated, real-time power production and transmission flows for facilities monitored in the continental U.S. in the main power trading markets. Color-coded icons representing plant locations and fuel type display capacity and current plant output as well as real time changes and variations in flow. Strategic transmission points and a number of individual transmission lines are also represented. Genscape collects this information through a patented nationwide network of wireless monitoring devices. Information on current megawatt output, capacity, fuel type, and plant ownership of a "moused-over" icon are displayed in the upper left of the interface. By clicking on the plant icon, a details page with greater depth of information opens. Click-through capabilities enable users to view detailed graphs of plant activity from several hours to 30 day increments and detail for clients each individual plant's event or "alert" history concerning major output changes. This proprietary information allows Genscape's clients to maximize their competitive advantage while minimizing the risk associated with fluctuations in power grid supply throughout the U.S. Power North America Product Features:
Overnight Update Subscribers to Power North America also receive Genscape's Overnight Update e-mail service, which reports any significant changes in output at Genscape-monitored plants and transmission points which occurred since the close of the previous business day. This report arrives early, providing Genscape's users accurate and critical information first thing in the morning. Currently Genscape's Morning Update is read by over 1000 regulators, operators, and trading professionals. Data Feed In addition to the Genscape Power North America desktop interface, Genscape delivers its revolutionary power status information over the Internet in either XML or other standard formats. Genscape's Data Feed can then be integrated into customers' internal risk and reliability management systems, providing better data for fundamental analytics, and other internal tools and applications. Clients who receive Genscape's Data Feed not only receive Genscape's real-time information, but also the complete plant and transmission point histories of output and alerts that Genscape's Data Feed provides. Frequency Events The power grid frequency in each part of the nation’s power system (the Eastern, Western, and Texas interconnections) is carefully controlled to maintain a normal frequency of 60 hertz (Hz). Deviations in this frequency indicate an imbalance in the grid between the supply and demand (load). A change in frequency can be a key indicator of a major grid event. With Genscape’s real time Frequency Event monitoring system users will be notified of such events. The event window contains a color shaded map indicating the event location, time, and the megawatt size of the event.

Genscape Power Europe is a web-based interactive representation of estimated real-time power production and transmission flows for facilities monitored in the main power trading markets of Continental Europe. This information is provided via an effective web delivery mechanism and collated using a network of remote, wireless devices to monitor multiple points on the transmission grid. Genscape has established a leading reputation for providing innovative and high value data services for the international energy markets. Genscape provides unique real-time production data for plants across Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Czech Republic and Spain and plans to synchronize it's entry into other European markets as they emerge. Customers can choose to view the information on the Continental Map or choose individual Country views.
