Custom
Alerts
Subscribers can now create personalized plant alerts
taking into account their own preferences and trading needs.
The Genscape Custom Alert Manager (CAM) was designed to allow Genscape
users the ability to create personalized alert settings for plants and
strategic transmission points in the Genscape network.
Subscribers can now choose:
- What types of alerts to create: Plant Outages, Plants returning
to service, and/or Plants Ramping Online
- When to receive specific alerts - set up temporary alerts for plants
of interest this week or turn off alerts over the weekends
- Which plant alerts to receive, based upon alerts that move the market
in particular regions of trade.
- How to receive customized alerts: Power interface or email
Advantages to having Custom Alerts vs standard Genscape Alerts:
- Genscape Alerts are Homogenous; The alerts one subscriber receives
are the same alerts that every other subscriber receives. Custom alerts
allows your trading desk to stand apart from the crowd.
- Custom alerts can be created to alert for plants or strategic transmission
points that Genscape doesn't alert.
- Custom alerts can be set to trigger plant alerts that fire before
Genscape alerts for the same event. This gives you the ability to
obtain market information faster than the competition.
- Quicker, personalized alerts can give you the ability to improve
or expand upon a position you are currently holding.

At this alert setting, the plant could be running and the end user
would not be aware.

comes on or every 225 MW move similar to the Custom Alert setting. |
