Amsterdam and Berlin - January 31, 2007 – The Berlin based analytics company Energy Brainpool and Amsterdam based real-time energy information provider Genscape International have jointly developed a new product for the German energy market: MarktReport Deutschland brings new levels of information transparency to the German power trading markets, with its unique combination of Genscape’s power plant data and Energy Brainpool’s price forecasting tools.

“Synergies for our clients and the market are enormous, “said Genscape International MD Christian Essers, “It is a natural symbiosis if power plant data and outage information can be integrated into our forecast models” added Energy Brainpool MD Tobias Federico.

The MarktReport Deutschland is a daily newsletter providing power plant data from Genscape and Energy Brainpool’s day ahead and year ahead EEX price forecasts, as well as wind data, import/export data and CO2-price effects.

The MarktReport Deutschland is the first joint product to come from Genscape and Energy Brainpool, and will be officially launched at the E-world 2007 power exhibition. Copies will be available during E-World in Essen, Germany, (Feb 6-8, 2007) on the stands of both Energy Brainpool (3-116) and Genscape International (3-478)
