For the second week in the last three weeks, the flow of Canadian crude oil from Hardisty to Steele City was interrupted. This week the interruption was not as long as what occurred two weeks ago, but in any event it certainly had an impact on oil flow into Patoka, as well as on the Canadian spreads versus US grades. The Keystone – Hardisty to Steele City line was shut for about a third of day last week resulting in the average flow of Canadian oil into Patoka decreasing by 59,788 bpd or by 13 percent. Canadian flow in Cushing actually increased by an average of 23,084 bpd or 7 percent. Overall Canadian oil flow into both Cushing and Patoka decreased by 36, 794 bpd according to our Midcontinent Pipeline and North American Storage products.
