Genscape to Share 2013 ERCOT Summer Outlook at GCPA Conference

The Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) conference in Houston is one of our favorite events for networking, sharing our latest news and developments, and being a part of the larger discussion around the Gulf Coast power industry. This year, Genscape is again a sponsor of the April 9-10 conference, and we've also organized a special post-conference event for conference attendees, as well as our Houston area clients and friends. On Wednesday, April 10 at 1:30 in the Marriott Westchase Richmond Room, Eric Palmer, our Regional Director of ERCOT, will unveil our 2013 Summer Outlook.

As we all know, summer is a critical time for the power industry, so the more you know the better you can prepare. Will 2013 be reminiscent of the extreme heat, volatility and price cap of 2011 or more like the relatively tame summer of 2012?

During our event, we'll address a number of topics including:

  • Genscape meteorologists' seasonal weather forecast and demand
  • The impact of ERCOT rule changes, such as the increase in the system-wide offer cap
  • Fundamental analysis of year-over-year changes including demand, wind, gas, prices, constraints and prices
  • Recent and upcoming expansions to our Power IQ and POWERBUYER® services

If you're planning to attend the conference, or will be in the Houston area, please join us for this special, free event. Space is limited so register today!
