I manage a team and network dedicated to transparency in the often murky world of oil production, transportation, supply, and demand. Our team of analysts assess thousands of data points each day to provide instant client updates based on direct from the source intel. I've been a leader in the field of commodity market intelligence and business strategy for over 20 years. I was the Energy Segment Leader at DigitalGlobe, managing their high-resolution imagery products for oil and gas companies and served as the Director of Commodity Market Intelligence at IHS Markit for almost a decade. While there, I introduced Market Intelligence Network, IHS’ online platform for physical commodity traders. I previously led the Institutional Investor Service at IHS, advising buy-side and private equity clients on investment strategy in the oil, gas and power industries and was a Director in the Global Oil Advisory Service at IHS, responsible for fundamental analysis of crude and refined products.
Early on in my career, I was a Senior Oil Market Analyst at Enron and also worked for the Energy Information Administration (EIA) at the U.S. Department of Energy, where I published research on oil-producing nations of the Middle East.
I have a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and an MA from the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in International Economics and Middle East Studies.
